Cesc Fabregas: Masked Man

If Jose Mourinho decides to risk Cesc Fabregas picking up a 10th yellow card of the season this weekend against QPR, he'll be doing it wearing a special protective face mask.

Fabregas' face met with Charlie Adam's forearm just before the Scot equalised with the 'wondergoal'. The Spaniard played on but did reveal the severity of his injury through his instagram feed. Fabregas joked that maybe now he could have his nose fixed.

Fabregas travelled to Milan with one of the club's medical director, Paco Biosca, to get the mask fitted. Ortholabsport have previously fitted masks for Demba Ba, Fernando Torres, and Petr Cech.

Despite the broken nose, Fabregas will be available for selection. Although with both him and Nemanja Matic both on 9 yellow cards, Mourinho may opt to start them from the bench to ensure they are available for Chelsea's upcoming fixtures against Arsenal and Manchester United.
