According to the club website, Sergio Ramos has been diagnosed a with dislocated acromioclavicular joint in his left shoulder.
Although it didn't appear to be injured following his theatrical tumble in Shakthar Donetsk's penalty area during Real Madrid's 4-0 win last night, the captain was substituted after 59 minutes.
The centre-half was not the only player to give Rafa Benitez cause for concern. Gareth Bale had already come off earlier in the match with an ankle injury.
No return date has yet been set for either player, but the club will be hoping both will be fit for their derby on the 4th of next month.
