Denmark vs USA: All Hail Lord Bendtner, Hat-trick Hero

Not that we’re much for international friendlies here at The Rascal, but when a game goes from the sublime to the ridiculous, it’s difficult to ignore. The USA Soccerball took on Denmark last night and for those of you who had nothing better to do and watched — you were richly rewarded.

Within 19 minutes, actual Jozy Altidore scored. The very same Jozy Altidore who managed a whopping 2 goals in his 70 Premier League appearances. It appears that he has found his level.

The American style celebrations however were short lived as Nicklas Bendtner equalised just 14 minutes later. Meaning - both Jozy Altidore and Nicklas Bendtner scored in the very same half of the very same game of football.


Bendntner was not done for the night. He only went on to score his first international hat-trick. The once formidable US Men's National Team were the first to conceded a hat-trick to one Nicklas Bendtner. Expect US dailies to give their ladies a lot more attention as the USMNT may never be heard from again.
